Our Start

Story About Us

Being second generation farmers, the use of tallow and lard for the kitchen was a well utilized ingredient. We had been using them for years to season cast iron pans, fry potatoes and to make our biscuits extra fluffy! 

But when our two daughters became riddled with eczema at a young age we set out to find clean, non-toxic lotions that were safe for children. After learning of the benefits of tallow and lard in skincare, it was an easy project to test because we had been raising cattle and hogs at our home for years.

The results of these all-natural balms were astonishing! They glided on thick and smooth, quickly absorbed into the skin and completely healed my daughter’s eczema in a matter of days! With continued use, we noticed that we weren’t having to apply lotions as often because of how well our bodies absorbed and retained the moisture from these products.

We began to share our balms with friends and family and the response was amazing! People loved it and wanted more. Feeling blessed with the opportunity that was presented, The Good Naturals was born. We are a faith-based, family focused organization that honors God by creating good-for-you products made with natural, God-given ingredients.

Our Quality

Local First

The majority of our ingredients are sourced directly from our farm and other local farms in our community. Our tallow and lard are dry-rendered within days of being processed. We’re not importing tallow from farms in other countries, we’re using local ingredients in-season, at their freshest. 

We love and care for our animals as they are part of the family and we honor them by the way we raise them and use them. Our animals are grass-fed, pasture raised and free of antibiotics and hormones. We adhere to regenerative farming practices that include rotational grazing, natural springs, composting and natural fertilizers. Our animals are used nose-to-tail and provide food for families across our community.

Hands down the best tallow I’ve used! I’ve used a few different brands of tallow that were supposed to be all natural. Well my skin was still very dry and flaky. After using The Good Naturals for 2 weeks my skin is finally hydrated and healthy! It’s been a month now, I bought 2 jars and already need more! That’s how much I love it!
