Mostly. We exclusively use grass-fed, pasture-raised tallow and lard, the majority of which are raised on our family farm in Zebulon, NC. However, as our popularity increases, it's difficult to keep up with the demand. Therefore we source from other local farms that have similar farming standards to ensure quality.

All of our products are handcrafted in small batches. Most ingredients are sourced locally from season to season. Because of this, ingredients can change slightly from season to season based on many factors (rain, diets, pollination) which will have an effect on colors and textures of products. For example, beeswax and honey will change color based on which season it is collected. But rest assured, our quality and standards remain the same season to season!

Because we use ingredients that are "in season" we typically have to wait for those ingredients to mature before we can process them and use them in our products. Therefore, you might not see our summer seasonal items until the end of summer because that's when the ingredients have matured and been processed. We pride ourselves on using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients and end-of-season products is a result of that.
